Integrations determine how straightforward day-to-day life is for both the venue and its customers. Let’s go through what integrations a sports centre or hall should require for payments, customer management and access control.

A good booking system includes features that reduce workload and simplify daily operations. Beyond that, integrations play a huge role in how smoothly everything runs. Comprehensive payment options, easy management of access control and lighting, and smooth invoicing and financial administration all depend on how many directions the system can communicate in.

Payment integrations are a basic requirement

Finnish sports enthusiasts expect to be able to pay in multiple ways. Sports benefits and the ease of using them are often a deciding factor when choosing a venue. Check whether your booking system supports sports benefits such as Epassi and Edenred, or whether customers have to go out of their way to pay and you to receive payments.

Prepayment and split payments are part of the same package. When a group of friends books a padel court together, the split payment feature automatically divides the bill between players and nobody is left waiting for a bank transfer. When a booking has been paid upfront, the threshold for not cancelling is significantly higher than with a free reservation.

Access control and lighting

When a customer books a slot at a venue or hall that operates around the clock, they need to be able to get in independently, with the lights coming on automatically when the booking starts and going off when it ends.

In Thril, lighting and access can be managed using Thril’s own products: Thrilock for access control and Thrilight for lighting automation. In some situations, it makes more sense to rely on an integration, meaning Thril can be used to control a third-party system.

Thril offers several integrations for access control and lighting, including Rollock, iLOQ, Megaflex, Fisafe, Tolotrack, Kulku.io, Digiovi and QT Systems. In many cases these allow locking or lighting to be connected directly to the system without any hardware investment.

Financial administration and invoicing

At worst, invoicing and bookkeeping are major time sinks. When systems talk to each other, significant time and effort are saved in everyday operations. Thril’s connection to Netvisor, for example, means invoicing automation and bookkeeping are handled quickly without the need to move figures from one system to another. Visma Amili, in turn, enables debt collection when needed.
