Thril reshapes the market for all casual sports participation through a platform connecting players and venues in all sports. Currently you need a different app for different sports. We will change that. We are expanding from Finland and Estonia into the Baltics and Central Europe, and are looking for our own Marco Polo to build that expansion.
As we scale our business, we are looking for someone who can design and execute the go-to-market system together with our Co-founder & CGO. Positioning, segmentation, pricing, partnerships, and the repeatable sales motion are a part of the job.
What makes this role attractive
You will have ownership of Thril’s international expansion strategy.
This is not a “manage the pipeline” sales role. This is a build-the-machine role.
You will design the system that turns sports venues across Europe into Thril customers: from the first anchor venues in each country to the scalable playbook that follows.
Your decisions will shape:
- how we enter new markets
- how we price the platform in new markets
- how we acquire venues
- how we build partnerships with the leaders of each local sports ecosystem
In short: you will architect the commercial backbone of a global sports platform. Sounds tempting doesn’t it?
The role
You will build and operate the GTM engine that scales Thril across Europe.
Your work includes:
Market entry
- Designing the entry strategy for new markets including Baltics, and after that moving on to Poland and DACH
- Designing the repeatable B2B SaaS sales motion abroad.
- Defining outbound, inbound, and partnership-driven acquisition models.
Positioning & Segmentation
- Identifying the most valuable venue segments (padel, tennis, golf simulators, fitness studios, etc.) and refine our positioning for each market.
- Developing pricing and packaging that balances SaaS subscription revenue with transaction commissions.
Partnerships
- Building strategic relationships with flagship venues, federations, and local sports ecosystems.
Our culture
We are a startup, so that should already tell quite a bit.
We operate with very little bureaucracy. Decisions are made quickly and people are trusted to execute. If you want to have repeated meetings for no apparrent reason, this isn’t a place for you.
While we work mainly remotely, communication is constant and transparent. Everyone understands what we are building and why it matters. An office is also in the works. Please know how to use modern communication devices and apps. And no, we do not use Teams or Slack.
Most importantly, we genuinely enjoy (maybe even love?) working together. Many of us are friends outside of work as well and like to sport a lot.

Salary range €5,000 – €6,000/month + comission

Comission
A performance-based commission of 16%.
Candidate fit
This role suits a commercial builder who enjoys designing systems rather than just operating inside them.
We appreciate:
- 2-5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, marketplace, or platform growth
- Experience in building go-to-market strategy
- Strong understanding of pricing, segmentation, and SaaS economics
- The ability to move between strategy and execution
- A liking to tennis is a strong plus (your closest colleague loves those mid afternoon Tennis sparring sessions)
This is an important role in a small team. Help will be provided and you will work closely with one of the founders.
You must be comfortable operating independently and making high-impact decisions.
Please note that experience alone does not cut it nor is it all that we are looking for. We all have made mistakes and will continue to make them. The thing that matters is how you recover from inevitable failures and how your learn you lessons and keep your head up whilst moving forward at the same time.
Red flag
We are likely not a fit if you prefer:
- Large corporate environments with heavy structure
- Purely operational sales roles with predefined playbooks (We are recruiting SDR’s as well, just not in this posting)
- Roles focused on managing teams instead of building something
- Excessive process or slow decision-making environments
- 9 – 5 (Nothing wrong with it, but building Thril requires a bit more)

Logistics and process
Physical presence at the Helsinki headquarters is preferred (once we have an office), but by no means mandatory.
